Dean has been learning how to cook and through the support of his Interchange Shoalhaven team Dean has certainly learnt his way around the kitchen and cooked a Feta and Spinach Filo Pastry Bake, and for dessert he made an Anzac Slice. Yum!
Dean also obtained his fork lift licence! Dean was supported by Interchange Staff as they helped him go through the theory component over the past few weeks. Dean is over the moon with his achievement and we know more opportunities will be opening up for Dean. Congratulations Dean!
This is Noah feeling the wind in his hair with Interchange Shoalhaven Support Workers Vicki and Caleb while they get out and about exploring the beautiful Shoalhaven, and always having a blast while doing so!
Noah loves sport and plays hockey at the PCYC, and loves to get fancy with his footwork and ball skills on the Soccer field!
We have some extremely talented participants here at Interchange Shoalhaven! This is Tim who makes his own beautifully crafted pens and boxes at The Men’s Shed and sells them at Sussex market. Everything he makes is absolutely stunning and of the highest quality!
On Saturday June 22nd Leanne and Holly enjoyed the Shoalhaven Stars of the Eisteddfod at The Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre where the talented performers put on a very entertaining show.
Leanne particularly enjoyed the singing which included choir and solo performances and Holly was impressed by the ability and skill of some of the young musicians.
The Shoalhaven Eisteddfod was established in 1964 to recognize and encourage community talent in the Shoalhaven region. A delightful program of Vocal, Instrumental, Dance, Speech and Drama were featured at The Stars Concert, which were some of the best performances from the Shoalhaven Eisteddfod.
“Overall we had a great night supporting the young people at this wonderful community event that showcases some of the finest and brightest stars of The Shoalhaven,” – Renee, Interchange Shoalhaven Staff Member.
Vanessa from our ‘FLAIR’ Adult Day Program was very proud of the wholemeal muffin mini pizzas she made for lunch! They look delicious!
The FLAIR Adult Day program spent some time at our Cox Ave Home making yummy Cheese and Spinach Parcels for lunch and working in the garden on some herbs that they even used for cooking. Well done to Megan and Vanessa for making this delicious meal!
Jane saved some money and spent the day at the Zoo with Interchange Shoalhaven support worker Charmaine. What a great day out and about with the animals!
With the assistance of Support Worker Katrina, Dean was able to save up enough recyclables to earn enough to purchase a brand new Fishing Rod! Congratulations Dean!
